Evaluation

1 The school follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation for Classes IX as suggested by the Central Board of Secondary Education. It includes both Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas of learners growth with particular reference to attributes such as Life Skills, Attitudes and Values, Sports and Games as well as Co-curricular activities. Parents are advised to visit the CCE Corner in the CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in from time to time to access the latest and updated information regarding Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and Promotion Policy. For classes XI and XII, the CBSE guidelines regarding curriculum and assessment are followed.
2 The school academic session is divided into three terms for classes I to V (i.e. April to July, August to November and December to March) and for classes VI-XII it is divided into two terms (i.e. April to September and October to March).
3 Weekly tests are conducted as per schedule apart from other activities. It is mandatory to appear for the Weekly Tests, Formative Assessments (FAs) and Summative Assessments (SAs). Pre-Board examination for class XII will be conducted for the whole syllabus.
4 Every student is expected to get a minimum qualifying grade D in core subjects as per the scheme of study for the purpose of promotion to the next higher class. For classes VI to X it is mandatory to obtain at least 25% in the Summative Assessment (both SA1 and SA2 taken together). Those obtaining less than 25% marks in a subject in SA1 + SA2 shall not qualify in that subject.
4 Those students whose performance is not found to be satisfactory will be asked to improve and qualify for promotion.
